D-Man Zanon recalled to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced today that defenseman Brad Zanon has been recalled by the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Zanon heads to the AHL for the second time this season after seeing action in one game with the Albany River Rats in December. The 25-year-old rookie has been a mainstay on the Everblades blue line this season playing in 60 games notching 11 points (1g, 10a). The Port Moody, British Columbia native scored his first professional goal earlier this season with the Everblades on February 11 vs. Cincinnati.

In a separate move, the Everblades also announced today that defenseman Tim Cook has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve list after suffering an injury in Florida's 5-3 win over Charlotte on March 18. Cook has picked up four assists in 21 games with the Everblades this season.

The Everblades return to action on Friday, March 20 when they travel to Charlotte to take on the Checkers at 7:00 p.m. from Time Warner Cable Arena. The Everblades' next home game is on Saturday, March 28 when they host the Checkers at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena.
