D.C. United to Host FIFA 2010 Xbox Challenge/D.C. United Organiza "Fifa 2010 Xbox Challenge"

Washington, D.C. (July 27, 2010) - D.C. United is set to host the FIFA 2010 Xbox Challenge on Saturday, August 21 prior to the club's home contest against Philadelphia Union on Sunday, August 22. 64 gamers will meet in the VW Lounge at RFK Stadium at 11:00 a.m. for the chance to compete for up to $1000 in cash prizes, D.C. United memorabilia, and bragging rights over participating D.C. United players.

Registration for the FIFA 2010 Xbox Challenge is available at dcunited.com at the cost of $40 per participant. This fee ensures entry into the 2010 Xbox Challenge and a match ticket to the August 22 match against Philadelphia. For gamers who have already purchased a ticket to the August 22 match, there is an option to register without purchasing an additional game ticket. All tournament participants must have a ticket for the Union game in order to participate.

The winner of the competition will receive a $600 prize and United autographed memorabilia, while second place takes home $300 and other autographed items. The third place competitor will take home $100. The 2010 D.C. United Xbox Challenge is presented by Panasonic and GameStop.
