
D.C. United Names Mike Harloff as Director of Sales

Washington, D.C. (December 15, 2005) - D.C. United announced today the club has named Mike Harloff as Director of Sales. With the team since its inception, Harloff joined the Black-and-Red as an Account Executive in 1996. He has since served the club as a Senior Account Executive and the Assistant Director of Sales.
"Mike has been a mainstay with D.C. United since year one," said United Vice President Stephen Zack. "In addition to his incredible sales knowledge, he is a great leader and morale builder. We believe that Mike will excel in his new position."
In 2005, Harloff finished second in MLS with 15,380 total group ticket sales and is no stranger to earning sales honors. The veteran salesman has been in the top five in ticket group sales for five straight years (2001-05), was in the top five in ticket revenue in 2002 and has twice been honored with the Commissioner's New Business Leadership Award (1998 & 1999).
Originally from Buffalo, NY, Harloff resides in Herndon, VA with his wife, Alexis and son, Scott. Before joining United in 1996, he worked with triple-A baseball team Buffalo Bisons (1992-95) and the Washington Capitals (1995).
