D.C. United Announces Preseason Training Schedule

CHANTILLY, VA (January 28, 2004) – D.C. United announced today the club's preseason training schedule. The team will gather Monday, February 2nd to begin preparation for the 2004 Major League Soccer season. Official training begins with a training session at RFK Stadium (weather permitting) at 10:30 a.m. ET. United will also travel to the IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, FL, Guadalajara, Mexico and to Charleston, SC for portions of their preseason training schedule and will participate in a number of exhibitions in preparation of their April 3rd regular season opener.

"I'm looking forward to the start of training and to working with this group of players," said United Head Coach Peter Nowak. "The preseason will answer many questions. We are looking to be mentally and physically prepared for the upcoming season."

Highlights are listed below, though the schedule is subject to change. Members of the media planning to view a preseason practice or game should contact the D.C. United Communications staff in advance.

Full season, half season and flex ticket plans are now on sale through the D.C. United office at 703-478-6600. Individual match tickets to the April 3rd home opener will go on sale March 1, 2004. Prices range from $16 for Spectator level (endline) seating through $36 for Mezzanine level seating. Group pricing (minimum of 20 tickets) ranges from $13 (Spectator) to $28 (Mezzanine). Individual match tickets will be available through all TicketMaster outlets, via www.dcunited.com, via www.ticketmaster.com, via TicketMaster Phone Charge and at the RFK Stadium box office. Group tickets are also available through the D.C. United office.
