
D.C. United Acquire Loudoun United Goalkeeper Luis Zamudio on Loan

WASHINGTON, DC - D.C. United have acquired goalkeeper Luis Zamudio on a four-day loan from United Soccer League (USL) Championship affiliate Loudoun United FC for their upcoming match against the New England Revolution on April 23.
Zamudio signed with Loudoun United on March 11, 2022. The goalkeeper has made five appearances for Loudoun this season and has recorded three shutouts. Zamudio was previously with USL League One side Inter Miami II in 2021. He recorded one shutout in nine appearances with the side.
The Las Vegas native started his playing career with Club America's youth academy and spent four seasons with the Liga MX academy side. His performances earned him a promotion to the first team in July 2019. The 6'3" goalkeeper spent the 2020 season with League One's North Texas Soccer Club, where he featured in four matches.
Zamudio joined Fort Lauderdale CF ahead of the 2021 USL League One Season. He made seven appearances for the team, recording one clean sheet and totaling 630 minutes on the pitch. Zamudio's highlight of the season came in Week 9 where he was named to the Team of the Week after his eight-save performance against North Carolina. On July 7, 2021, Miami FC added Zamudio on loan from Fort Lauderdale CF for the remainder of the USL Championship season.
