D.C. United Academy Update

Washington, D.C. (April 7, 2014) - The D.C. United U-23 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) team has announced four tryout dates. The team will feature top collegiate, international and domestic players from around the D.C. area, and will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Conference in the NPSL. The team will train three times a week, May-July, and have one game every weekend.

Amos Magee, a D.C. United First Team assistant coach, will be the head coach of the U-23 team this season. D.C. United U-16 Head Coach Tom Torres will be the U-23 assistant coach, and D.C. United Academy Staff Coach Roger Wimmer will be the U-23 goalkeeper coach.

"The U-23 team is a very important piece to our developmental structure," said Magee. "We expect to continue the work that our academy has done in evaluating and developing the best players in the area for D.C. United."

April 21 - 1 p.m.

April 24 - 1 p.m.

April 28 - 1 p.m.

May 14 - 6:30 p.m.
