
Chicago Fire Take on Montreal Impact at Olympic Stadium

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club (0-1-4, four points) hit the road to face former Fire head coach Frank Klopas and the Montreal Impact (0-3-2, two points) at Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec on Saturday, April 12 at 3:00 p.m. CT (My50/TWCSC Wisconsin/La Ley).
This is the first of three meetings between the two sides this season. The Fire return to Montreal on Aug. 16 before hosting the Impact at Toyota Park on Oct. 5.
The Impact enter the match after earning a 2-2 home draw against the New York Red Bulls on April 5.
CHICAGO FIRE vs. MONTREAL IMPACT
- The Fire hold a 2-1-2 all-time Regular Season record against the Impact, including a 0-1-1 record in matches played on the road.
- The Men in Red have previously played once at Olympic Stadium. The Fire earned a 1-1 draw in front of a record crowd of 58,912 on March 17, 2012 in the Impact's MLS debut.
- In matches against teams that are lead by former Fire head coaches, the Fire are 10-5-3 all-time (5-5-3 vs. Bob Bradley and 5-0-0 vs. Juan Carlos Osorio).
- When first facing former coaches, the Fire are 2-0-0 in the initial meetings. Both on the road, the Fire defeated Bradley and the MetroStars 3-2 on June 14, 2003 and Osorio and the Red Bulls 5-1 on May 25, 2008.
- The Fire and the Impact evenly split the 2013 series. In three matches, the Fire fell 2-0 at Stade Saputo on April 27, 2013, defeated the Impact 2-1 at Toyota Park on Aug. 10, 2013 and drew the Impact 2-2 at Toyota Park on Sept. 28, 2013.
- The Fire hold a slight edge in the series with eight goals scored to the Impact's seven.
CHICAGO FIRE SOCCER CLUB AND CHICAGO RED STARS HOST DOUBLEHEADER APRIL 19 AT TOYOTA PARK
The Chicago Fire Soccer Club they will host a doubleheader with the National Women's Soccer League side Chicago Red Stars at Toyota Park on Saturday, April 19. The Fire will kick off against the New England Revolution at 3 p.m. CT (NBC Sports Network), followed by the Red Stars vs. Western New York Flash match at 5:45 p.m. CT.
The first 5,000 fans attending the Fire match will be given a special commemorative Fire scarf.
All tickets purchased for the Fire vs. Revolution match will also include a complimentary, General Admission ticket for the Red Stars game. Single game tickets for Fire matches are available via Ticketmaster and www.Chicago-Fire.com .
Fans attending the Fire match prior to the Red Stars game are encouraged to remain in the stadium between matches. Re-entry will be permitted only at Gate C beginning at 5:30 p.m. and fans must display the ticket from the Fire match.
Fans entering Toyota Park for the Red Stars game will be allowed entry beginning at 5:30 p.m. for the 5:45 p.m. kickoff.
The Red Stars, whose roster boasts U.S. internationals Amy LePeilbet, Christen Press and Shannon Boxx, will open their second NWSL season against the Western New York Flash, who are led by U.S. National Team legend Abby Wambach, the world-record holder for international goals by a woman or man.
The doubleheader will also feature family ties, as Fire forward and reigning MLS MVP Mike Magee will take the field prior to his cousin, Red Stars defender Jackie Santacaterina.
CHICAGO FIRE SOCCER CLUB TO HOST FOURTH ANNUAL ART OF FUTBOL
The Chicago Fire Soccer Club is set to host its fourth annual Art of Futbol event, benefiting the Chicago Fire Foundation on Wednesday, May 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Prairie Production Studio (1314 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL 60607).
The one-of-a-kind art exhibition will once again feature talented local artists and their original work depicting the beautiful game of soccer. Guests will also have the opportunity to see artwork created on-site, as this year's program will introduce new, interactive displays.
The Club has put out a call to Chicagoland artists, asking for creative and expressive artwork to be showcased at the event. Interested individuals must submit original pieces of work, which can be of traditional or non-traditional genre and media, including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media and poetry.
Those interested in participating may submit up to three JPEG files of their artwork to artoffutbol@chicago-fire.com. The submission deadline is Friday, April 25. Chosen pieces will be displayed at the event and judged by attendees and guest judges, who will select a grand prize winner.
Artists will also have the opportunity to sell their work at the end of the event. Additionally, select artists will be recognized at Toyota Park during the Chicago Fire match against reigning MLS Cup champions Sporting Kansas City on May 18.

CHICAGO FIRE HOST TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FC JULY 26 AT TOYOTA PARK
The Chicago Fire Soccer Club will welcome Barclays Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur to Toyota Park in an international friendly on Saturday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m. CT (ESPN2).
This is just the fifth time that the Fire will welcome an English side to the Chicagoland area. The Men in Red are 2-2-0 in international friendlies against clubs from England, including Aston Villa, Manchester United, Everton and Derby County.
