Washington, D.C. (August 1, 2014) - D.C. United has announced that Jeff Carroll has been named D.C. United Academy Under-14 Head Coach.
Carroll, 30, is a former D.C. United defensive midfielder who was selected in the fourth round (39th overall) of the 2006 MLS Super Draft. Carroll made two appearances (one start) for the senior team. Following his stint with United, Carroll played with the Real Maryland Monarchs of the USL Second Division in April 2009. He was captain of the USL-2 squad in his first season.
Carroll attended St. John's University, earning All-New York Region Third Team and All-Big East Second Team honors as a senior and All-Big East Third Team honors during his junior campaign.
