
D.C. United Academy Finishes 3-1-2 in Weekend Action/L

Washington, D.C. (May 25, 2011) - D.C. United's Academy teams faced Potomac and Baltimore Bays Chelsea over the past weekend in U.S. Soccer Development Academy play. The Under-16 squad led the way, securing two victories as the Academy finished 3-1-2 overall.
Both Collin Martin and Andres Dell'Agostino scored two goals to lead the U-16's to two victories over the course of the weekend. The U-16's handily defeated Potomac 4-0 on Saturday, May 21 behind a Dell'Agostino brace and strikes from Martin and Dylan Regan. The squad then defeated Baltimore Bays Chelsea 2-0 the following day, with goals from Martin and Joel Condor.
The U-18's also finished the weekend unblemished, defeating Potomac 3-2 on Saturday and tying Baltimore Bays Chelsea 2-2 on Sunday, May 22. Marcus Salandy-Defour scored his fourth and fifth goals in two weekends to lead his mates against Potomac, with Bryan Piriz adding a third tally. Lester Dewee and Cody Albrecht recorded goals to preserve the draw for United against Baltimore.
The U-15 and U-14 sides played on May 21 against Potomac, with the U-15's posting a scoreless draw and the U-14's falling, 2-0.
