GAME 3 - EASTERN CONFERENCE QUARTERFINALS / $1 BEERS

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After an impressive start to these Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Thursday, the Cyclones look to take another victory from the Solar Bears tonight in Game 2 of the series before shifting back home to Cincinnati next week. Dating back to the 2007 playoff year, the Cyclones are now 12-5 all-time in series-opening contests.

SCOUTING THE SOLAR BEARS: Vince Williams' club dropped its first-ever Kelly Cup Playoff game on Thursday night and now trail the best-of-seven series by one. Their top scorer from the regular season, Mickey Lang, was only able to notch a single assist in Game 1. His line mates Taylor Matson and Jacob Cepis also captured points in the tilt, as they combined to get Orlando's first goal of the playoffs. Goaltender Maxime Clermont struggled, surrendering four goals on just 26 shots. With the defeat, his career ECHL postseason record dipped to 1-3. Fellow net minder Cody Reichard has returned from a late season stint with the Iowa Wild. Between his ECHL time in Fort Wayne, Utah and Orlando, the Miami RedHawks alum has gone 15-8-3-3 this year with a 3.24 GAA.

LAST HEAD-TO-HEAD MEETING: APRIL 17, 2014: Four different Cincinnati players had multi-point efforts as the Cyclones knocked off the Solar Bears by a 4-2 final score in front of 4,609 at Amway Center. The victory gave the Cyclones a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Brett Wysopal notched the game-winning goal - his first ECHL postseason lamplighter.

A Balanced Attack: Of the Cyclones 41 regular season wins, 26 different players notched the "GWG." Byron Froese, Jonthan Hazen, Barry Almeida, and Josh Shalla are all tied for the team lead with three such lamplighters.

Moving Up the Charts: Cyclones forwards Dan Eves and Trevor Lewis are both rapidly climbing the club's all-time postseason scoring chart. Lewis ranks 14th all time with 15 points while Eves is 19th with 13 tallies.
