Cincinnati, OH- After an impressive 4-1 win last night the Elmira Jackals fell to the Cincinnati Cyclones' 4-2 tonight at the US Bank Arena. The Jackals return to home ice on Wednesday, March 4th when they host the Dayton Bombers at 7:05 p.m.

The opening frame started with a flurry of saves from Elmira goalkeeper Michael Teslak. The Jackals found themselves trailing the shot category 7-1 at one point, but worked their way back into a 9-6 shot battle. Neither club could find an answer for the opposing goaltender with the score staying tied at 0-0.

The Cyclones electrified the US Bank Arena with three second period goals. The first came at the 3:18 mark when Jamie Coghlan netted his first of the year. The Cyclones then struck for the second of the contest on a five on three power play at the 7:47 mark when Dustin Sproat put home a Barret Ehgoetz rebound. The Cyclones took advantage of the remaining power play time and struck seven seconds later with Justin Johnsons 12th of the year.

The Jackals opened the third period with Paul McIlveens' 15th goal of the season to pull the game back within two. Brandon Roach and Colton Yellow Horn got the assists on the play. The Jackals pressured but couldn't find an answer for Loic Lacasse. With Michael Teslak pulled for an extra attacker the Cyclones would net their fourth goal of the game, Matt Syroczynski's 15th of the year. With only two seconds remaining in the game the Jackals would get back on the board with a Wes Cunningham tally. Chris Korchinski and Paul McIlveen assisted. Elmira goaltender Michael Teslak finished the night with 27 saves.

With the loss the Jackals fall to 30-22-1-4 while the Cyclones improve to 32-21-2-3.
