
Cyclones and 96 Rock to host Chuck Weber Sendoff Party at Star Lanes

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud ECHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, and Cincinnati's Pure Rock, 96 Rock announced today that they will host a sendoff party for former head coach Chuck Weber. The event will be held at Star Lanes in Newport on the Levee next Thursday, August 12 at 6:00pm. Cyclones puckheads and 96ROCKHEADS alike will toast the man that made the Kelly Cup a household name in Cincinnati, beginning in 2008.
Weber spent four seasons behind the Cincinnati bench, becoming the most successful coach in franchise history. He led the Cyclones to a 177-92-19 record (.648 winning percentage), won two Kelly Cup Championships, two North Division titles (2008 and 2009), a Brabham Cup (league's best record) and earned three consecutive trips to the American Conference Finals (2008, 2009 and 2010). He accepted the head coaching position with the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of Florida Panthers) on July 27.
