Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
CINCINNATI, OH- The Cincinnati Cyclones have signed defenseman Steve Weinstein for the 2015-2016 season. He becomes the third player signed by the Cyclones this offseason.
"Steve is a strong skating, puck moving defenseman who has had great production throughout his whole college career," said Cyclones Head Coach Matt MacDonald. "His skating ability and hockey IQ will translate well to the pro game, and we are excited to have a player with his character and abilities play for us this season."
Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Weinstein recently wrapped up a successful four-career at Bentley University, where he tallied 14 goals and 90 assists for 104 points in 145 career games. His best season came during his junior year in 2013-2014, where he ranked third on the team with 38 points (1G, 37 A). His 37 assists led the team.
Weinstein began his professional career with the AHL's Springfield Falcons at the end of last season, dishing out an assist in three games played.
