
Cyclones Acquire Jeremie Malouin from Gwinnett

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have acquired forward Jeremie Malouin from the Gwinnett Gladiators. The move completes an earlier trade for forward Mike Embach.
Malouin (mal-WEH), a 21-year old, Granby, Quebec native started his pro career with the Gwinnett Gladiators - where he posted seven points (1 goal, 6 assists) in 27 games. Prior to going pro, the six-foot-one, 174 pound forward played five seasons in the QMJHL. In 2012-13, he finished fifth on the Drummondville Voltigeurs with 48 tallies (30 goals, 18 assists) in 60 contests and was one of the team's assistant captains. Collectively as an amateur, Malouin amassed 176 points (92 goals, 84 assists) in 371 games. In addition to his assistant captaincy last season, he was twice named the Captain of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
The Cyclones will open up the 2014 portion of the schedule on Friday night at Wings Stadium with a 7:30pm opening face-off against Kalamazoo. Fans can hear coverage of the game on the Cyclones Radio Network (CyclonesHockey.com, America One, Cyclones Mobile App) beginning at 7:00pm.
The Cyclones will return to the ice at U.S. Bank Arena THIS SATURDAY when they host the Reading Royals at 7:30pm. It will be the annual Throwback Night and Teddy Bear Toss! Fans can purchase seats for just $8 while enjoying $1 beers, pizza, hot dogs, and soda! Plus, when the Cyclones score their first goal, fans are encouraged to throw stuffed toys on the ice to be collected and donated to the Cincinnati Police Department!
