January 7, 2014 - Central Hockey League (CHL) - Denver Cutthroats News Release

Aspen Youth Hockey Clinic: On Saturday, January 4 the Denver Cutthroats held a free hockey clinic for Aspen Junior Hockey and local youth players at Lewis Ice Arena in Aspen, Colo. Cutthroats Assistant Coach Brad Smyth, forward Matt Ambroz and Gill the Cutthroat worked on drills, techniques and fundamentals on the ice. Denver Cutthroats Athletic Trainer Rusty Green and Rocky Mountain Health Plans medical staff assisted with injury awareness, nutrition and dryland training off the ice.

Over 53 youth players registered for the event at Lewis Ice Arena on Saturday. The clinic gave youth players the chance to learn the game from professional athletes, coaches and training staff.

Cutthroats Colorado Tour January 3-4

On Friday, January 3 and Saturday, January 4 the Denver Cutthroats hosted the Tulsa Oilers at Lewis Ice Arena in Aspen, Colo. The two-game home series kicked off the Cutthroats inaugural Colorado Tour, giving the mountain communities the chance to experience professional hockey in their backyard. The Denver Cutthroats will head to Dobson Ice Arena in Vail, Colo. to face the Arizona Sundogs on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25. The Cutthroats will host a youth hockey clinic on Saturday, January 25 at 1:00 PM at Dobson Ice Arena.
