Cutthroats Take Road Win

Prescott Valley - The Arizona Sundogs hosted the Denver Cutthroats for the first game in a three-game set on Friday, December 27 at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona. The Cutthroats defeated the Sundogs 3-2 to tie the season series 2-2-0 against Arizona.

Denver's Garett Bembridge (Troy Schwab, Aaron MacKenzie) scored the first and only goal in the opening 20 minutes of play to put the Cutthroats up 1-0 over the Arizona Sundogs. Arizona's Brandon Coccimiglio (Paul McIlveen, Travis Ouellette) took a one-timer from behind the net to close the second period 1-1.

Matt Glasser (Matt Ambroz, Phil Tesoriero) scored his third goal of the season to give the Cutthroats the lead 2-1. Brandon Coccimiglio (Ouellette, Matt McCready) scored his second goal of the night for the Sundogs to match the Cutthroats 2-2. Denver's Steve Kaunisto (Bembridge, Kent Patterson) scored the Cutthroats game-winning goal to finish the night 3-2 over the Arizona Sundogs.

The Denver Cutthroats and Arizona Sundogs will continue the three-game set tomorrow night at 7:05 PM in Prescott Valley, Arizona. The set will conclude on Tuesday, December 31 in Arizona. The Cutthroats will head to the mountains for the team's inaugural Colorado Tour on Friday, January 3 and Saturday, January 4 in Aspen, Colorado against the Tulsa Oilers.
