Cutters Walked Off Again

The Cutters dropped both the completion of the August 16th game and the regularly scheduled games in State College. They lost the 2nd game in walk-off fashion, in extra innings.

In game two, Seth Lancaster paced the Cutters offense, finishing the night 2 for 3 with a triple and his first professional home run, a two-run blast to right that tied the game in the top of the 6th. Ben Aklinski led off the game with triple, scoring a pitch later on a wild pitch. Jesse Wilkening recorded an RBI in the losing effort.

For the second day in a row, Abdallah Aris allowed the walk off hit in extra innings, as he suffered his 4th loss of the season.

James McArthur went the first three innings in the game two start, not allowing a run, hit or walk and striking out two.

The Cutters were unable to plate a run in the resumption of the game from from August 16th , being shutout for the 5th time this season. The Cutters left seven runner on base in the loss.

Alec Bohm returned to Williamsport in the 2nd game. Batted 4th and finished the night 0 for 4 and committed two errors in the loss.
