Cutters Plate One In Loss To Spikes

Williamsport managed a season-low one run in their 7-1 loss to State College , effectively dropping the series to the Spikes, with one game left.

With the Cuttrs loss and the West Virginia Black Bears win over Mahoning Valley, the Black Bears clinched first half championship on the 2022 MLB Draft League schedule.

OF Logan Flood recorded the lone RBI for the Crosscutters, plating Lance Logsdon in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Starter Connor Fenlong took the loss, dropping to 1-1 on the season. In his first start, Fenlong allowed four runs, three earned, on four hits and two walks. Fenlong struck out four in his four innings of work.

DH Tayden Hall was the only Cutter to record a multi-hit game, finishing 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and a walk drawn.

The Cutters finished the night 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position and stranded nine runners in the loss.

Williamsport has now lost four-straight games to the State College Spikes and have posted a 4-6 record over their last 10 games.
