Cutters Lose in Extras

The Williamsport Crosscutters were not able to use an outstanding start from Felix Paulino as they fall to the Lowell Spinners in 10 inning on the road.

Felix Paulino started his 2016 Cutters campaign by going six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out five in a no-decision.

Williamsport plated their two runs on RBI singles, the first off of the bat of Lucas Williams in the top of the 8th inning.

That was Williams first RBI of the season. The second run came on an RBI Infield single by Luis Espiritu Jr, giving the Cutters a 2-0 lead in the 9th inning.

Lowell would strike for a pair of runs in the bottom of the 9th against Cutters reliever Kenny Koplove and would plate the winning run against reliever Will Hibbs in the bottom of the 10th on a RBI single by Tyler Hill with 2 outs.

Jeff Singer worked two shutout innings of relief for the Cutters. His second time working two shutout innings in an outing this season.
