Altoona Curve News Release

(AKRON, OH)- Sunday's scheduled doubleheader between the Altoona Curve and Akron Aeros was postponed due to rain and snow in the Akron area. The postponement marked the third consecutive day the two clubs were unable to play because of inclement weather.

The three consecutive postponements have forced doubleheaders to be played on the following dates:

--Saturday, June 11, Time TBD (at Altoona)

--Tuesday, August 16, 6:05 PM (at Akron)

--Wednesday, August 17, 6:05 PM (at Akron)

Because Eastern League rules prohibit three doubleheaders from being played consecutively, one of the games must now be made up when the two clubs meet at Blair County Ballpark in Altoona on Saturday, June 11.

The Curve will look to return to action when they travel to Erie for a three-game series beginning Monday night at Jerry Uht Park in Erie. Monday's game is set for 6:35 PM and Altoona will send right-hander Matt Peterson to the mound.
