Calgary, AB ( Friday, December 9, 2005) - The Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League will be in town this weekend for:-

Two practice camps, AND

The club's first ever ‘Meet The Players Party' for season ticket holders.

The practices, which are open to the public, will be held at Calgary Soccer West (11014 Bearspaw Dam Road N.W.) from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, December 10, and from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Sunday, December 11.

"This is not going to be an easy weekend for the coaches and myself," said General Manager Kurt Silcott today.

"We've got 31 players coming to camp, yet by next Tuesday we have to pare that down to 26 - 23 on the roster with three more on the practice roster."

Silcott added, "In terms of depth, this is probably the strongest squad I've ever been involved with, so the chances are that players who could make it on another NLL team just might not stick with us."
