
Rush training camp on the floor at Rexall Place, Rush sign one more

EDMONTON, ALBERTA- The Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club training camp continues this weekend with 27 players. Training camp will consist of the same routine however will be exciting due to the location. Training camp will be held at Rexall Place on Sunday, December 11 at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
For local players the vigorous routine of training camp will be forgotten when they touch the floor at the building of their hometown.
"For years I have been attending events at the building, I watched the Oilers win Stanley Cups and always dreamed of having an opportunity to play the game of lacrosse in the building." states well-known local player Jamey Bowen. "The history in that building is enormous and I look forward to being a part of history, being a player on the team for the first game of lacrosse in Rexall Place."
The Rush signed Kyle McEwen today who was recently released by the Arizona Sting. The 6'3", 235 lbs offense player will join the team at training camp this weekend. He played with WLA Langley Thunder this summer for 10 games and netted 8 goals, 12 assists and 42 penalty minutes.
"He is a big and tough young player that can play." states GM/Head Coach Paul Day. "He was an early round pick of San Jose as a 20 year old two years ago and went to Arizona's camp this year, to our benefit he was released by the veteran team as they are very deep at the offense left position."
The Rush announced today that Rogers Sportsnet will be showing seven of the Rush's games this season, including all four matchups between the Rush and their provincial rival, the Calgary Roughnecks, and the two meetings featuring the Rush and the defending NLL champion Toronto Rock. Rogers Sportsnet will also broadcast the NLL All-Star Game this season.
