Columbus Crew SC News Release
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Monday, July 4) - The Crew will remain at home this weekend to face the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, July 9, at 7:30 p.m. at Crew Stadium.
The Crew (4-9-2, 14 pts.) lost 1-0 to D.C. United at home last Saturday, while San Jose (6-3-7, 25 pts.) played West leader FC Dallas to a 2-2 tie in Dallas.
Saturday's game will be televised nationally in high definition on HDNet. The game can be heard in English on 103.9, TED-FM, or in Spanish on Radio Sol, 1550-AM. Saturday's game can also be heard in English and Spanish on TheCrew.com and MLSNet.com.
Tickets for Crew home games can be acquired at the Crew Stadium Box Office, at any area Ticketmaster outlet, via phone at 614-431-3600 or on line at TheCrew.com.

SIERRA MIST MLS ALL-STAR GAME IS JULY 30 IN COLUMBUS WITH TICKETS NOW ON SALE,
VOTING FOR STARTERS IS ALSO UNDERWAY
The MLS All-Stars will face Brian McBride and English Premier League club Fulham FC in the 2005 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game to be played on Saturday, July 30, in Crew Stadium (ABC Sports at 3:30 p.m. ET). Tickets for the Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game are currently on sale and can be acquired at the Crew Stadium Box Office, at any area Ticketmaster outlet, via phone at 614-431-3600 or on line at MLSNet.com and TheCrew.com. Fans can now cast their votes for the MLS All-Stars who will take the field against Fulham FC by filling out the online ballot on the League's official website www.MLSnet.com until Friday, July 8, 2005.
ADDED TIME WITH THE CREW SET FOR TUESDAY AT 7 P.M. ON 1460 THE FAN
Added Time With The Crew, The Crew's half-hour radio show on 1460 The Fan, will again air this Tuesday, July 5, from 7-7:30 p.m. The show began on Tuesday, April 12, and aired from 7:30-8 p.m. for the first five shows (4/12, 4/26, 5/10, 5/17 and 5/24). Beginning June 7, the show began airing from 7-7:30 p.m. and runs on the following dates: 6/7, 6/21, 6/28, 7/5, 7/19, 7/26, 8/16, 9/13, 9/20 and 9/27, in addition to one final show. The show is hosted by the "Voice of The Crew," Dwight Burgess.
BREW WITH THE CREW SET FOR THURSDAY FROM 7-9 P.M. AT ADOBE GILA'S
Crew fans can join The Crew and CD101 this Thursday from 7-9 p.m. for Brew With The Crew at Adobe Gila's at Easton. A Crew player will be on hand for the festivities.
CREW RESERVES FALL TO D.C. UNITED RESERVES ON SUNDAY AT OBETZ
The Crew Reserves lost 4-1 to the D.C. United Reserves on Sunday, July 3, at Obetz. The complete Crew Reserve schedule and results are: at Colorado (April 24, W 1-0), vs. Chicago (May 1, T 3-3), vs. RSL (May 22, W 5-2), vs. MetroStars (May 29, W 1-0), vs. Colorado (June 11, L 2-1), at Metros (June 19, L 1-0), vs. D.C. HEJDUK AND GLEN OPEN UP GOLD CUP ACTION THIS WEEK
U.S. Men's National Team manager Bruce Arena has named Crew defender Frankie Hejduk to the 23-man roster that will compete in the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the regional championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
The 12-team tournament runs from July 6-24 in six cities across the United States. The U.S. will compete in Group B along with Canada, Costa Rica and Cuba, opening the tournament on Thursday, July 7, against Cuba in Seattle. Kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m. (ET), and the match will be broadcast live on Telefutura. The U.S. continues group play against Canada on Saturday, July 9, in Seattle (4:30 p.m. ET, Telefutura), then heads East to finish out group play against Costa Rica on Tuesday, July 12, at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. (7 p.m. ET, Telefutura). Fans can follow all the U.S. matches live on ussoccer.com's MatchTracker, presented by Philips Electronics.
Along with Hejduk for the U.S., one other Crew player has been called-in by his country, with Trinidad & Tobago calling in Cornell Glen. Luis Gallardo was on Panama's initial roster but did not make the final roster, and Guatemalan Mario Rodriguez was also on the initial roster for Guatemala but will remain with The Crew unless Guatemala has injury problems. Trinidad faces Honduras on July 6 at the Orange Bowl in Miami (9 p.m. ET), Panama on July 9 at the Orange Bowl (7 p.m. ET), and Colombia on July 11 at the Orange Bowl (7 p.m. ET).
