DENVER, CO (Monday, July 4, 2005) - The Kansas City Wizards gave up a one goal lead at halftime and suffered a 2-1 loss to the Colorado Rapids at INVESCO Field Monday night. Playing in front of a vocal crowd of over 41,000 fans in Independence Day, the Wizards took command early as Chris Klein scored in the 8th minute, but two second half goals off restarts for the Rapids proved to been the difference maker.

The Wizards will travel to the Nation's Capital next weekend to take on D.C. United on Saturday, July 9th at RFK Stadium. The match will be the MLS Soccer Saturday "Game of the Week" and will be broadcast live on ESPN2 with kickoff at 5:00 p.m. CT.
