Coyotes Recall Philip Samuelsson from Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled defenseman Philip Samuelsson from the Portland Pirates, the club's American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).
The 23-year-old Samuelsson has recorded 1-2-3 with a plus-six rating and 14 penalty minutes (PIM) in 16 games with the Pirates. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound native of Leksand, Sweden also registered 0-4-4 and 20 PIM in 22 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) this season. He has appeared in five career NHL games all with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Samuelsson was originally drafted by the Penguins in the second round (61st overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.
