Lehigh Valley Phantoms News Release
Lehigh Valley, PA - The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, have recalled goaltender Martin Ouellette from his loan to the Reading Royals of the ECHL. A 23-year-old netminder from Saint-Hippolyte, Quebec, Ouellette is in the midst of his first professional season and has produced an 11-6-2 record to go along with a 2.85 goals-against average and .907 save percentage through 19 games with Reading.
This will be Ouellette's third stint with the Phantoms this year. The 6'2", 194-pound netminder is 1-1 in three appearances with Lehigh Valley and has registered a 1.92 goals-against average to go along with a .934 save percentage with the Phantoms.
Lehigh Valley enters the week in the midst of a season-high four-game winning streak and returns to PPL Center for a pair of games this weekend. First, the Phantoms welcome the Albany Devils to downtown Allentown on Friday as Lehigh Valley is set to debut its brand-new Orange Third jerseys. Then, the Phantoms welcome the East Division rival Binghamton Senators to PPL Center on Saturday. It's another Legends Night as Bob Clarke, one of hockey's greatest legends and the architect of the Phantoms' 1998 and 2005 Calder Cup championship teams, will be at the game. All fans in attendance will receive a FREE Collector's Edition Poster spotlighting Clarke.
Tickets for both games are available now at the Mealey's Furniture Box Office at PPL Center (701 Hamilton), by calling 610-347-TIXX (8499) or online at pplcenter.com.
A seventh-round selection (184th overall) by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Ouellette spent the last four years at the University of Maine where the 6'2", 194-pound goaltender compiled a 28-33-14 overall record to go along with a 2.52 goals-against average coupled with a .913 save percentage. During that time, he was named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team.
