Coyotes Recall Miele from Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forward Andy Miele from the Portland Pirates, the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Miele has registered 23-35-58 and 60 penalty minutes (PIM) in 56 games for the Pirates this season. He leads the team and ranks fifth in the AHL in scoring while his 23 goals and 35 assists are also tops among all Pirates.

The 25-year-old native of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., has appeared in four games with the Coyotes this season, totaling 0-2-2 and five PIM. Miele originally signed with Phoenix as a free agent on April 2, 2011.
