Coyotes Recall Downie from Springfield

Springfield, MA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forward Steve Downie from the Springfield Falcons.

The 28-year-old Downie scored 1-0-1 in five games with Springfield and has collected 3-3-6 in 25 games with the Coyotes this season. The 5-foot-11, 191-pound native of Newmarket, Onatrio has recorded 76-120-196 and 1,057 penalty minutes (PIM) in 433 career NHL games.

Downie signed as a free agent on July 1, 2015.

The Falcons continue their home play this Friday at 7:00 p.m. with a contest against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
