
Coyotes fall to Dallas

AMARILLO, TX- The Coyotes were unable to hold on to a one point lead going into the bottom of the ninth as they lose to the Dillas 14-13 Friday night at Dilla Rilla Stadium.
The Dillas were able to get their offense through much of the game but we really came through in the final inning as they scored two runs of two hits to hand the Coyotes (6-4) the first loss of a three-game series.
The Dillas (6-4) started the scoring off in the first inning with two runs but Edinburg answered with a pair of their own in the second inning. The Dillas took the lead in the second inning 6-2 and would stretch it to 9-5 at one point in the game.
The Coyotes in the seventh inning scored seven runs on six hits to take the lead 13-9. The Dillas kept fighting as they scored two in the seventh to narrow the lead to 13-11.
Trailing by one run in the ninth inning, Jonathan Reynoso would lead the inning off with a double and later would score on a RBI triple by Keith Brachold. The winning run came off the bat of Joel Gonzalez who hit a deep shot into right field for.
The Coyotes will take on the Dillas once again tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. at the Dilla Villa. They will face off in the final game of the series on Sunday and will travel back to Edinburg to battle the Harlingen WhiteWings on Tuesday.
