The Saginaw Spirit would like to congratulate forward Tom Pyatt, defenseman Andrew Hotham and goaltender Ryan Daniels for being named the Covenant HealthCare Players of the Week.

Center Tom Pyatt tallied four goals and three assists in three games last weekend; he was plus-1. He has scored 38 goals and 37 assists in 53 games this season; he is plus-31. The Thunder Bay, Ontario native recently returned from a gold medal win with Team Canada at the 2007 World Juniors. He also participated in the 2007 OHL All-Star Classic. Pyatt was selected in the fourth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers.

Defenseman Andrew Hotham notched five assists last weekend. This season he has tallied five goals and 14 assists in 18 games since joining the Spirit in January 2007; he is plus-10. The Barrie, Ontario native has tallied 129 points in 181 career OHL games. Before being traded to the Spirit from Erie, Hotham was the Otters' team captain.

Goaltender Ryan Daniels won all three games last weekend, posting a 1.95 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. The Pickering, Ontario native is ranked in the top 10 in all five goaltending statistics recorded by the OHL. His best rank is 4th in both total wins (34) and shootout wins (4). He was selected as the OHL Goaltender of the Month for October 2005, October 2006 and February 2007. Daniels was selected in the fifth round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators.
