Kalamazoo Wings News Release
The Kalamazoo Wings will wrap up the regular season tonight against their archrivals, the Fort Wayne Komets. Kalamazoo is 4-4-1 versus Fort Wayne this season; however, the K-Wings are winless (0-3-1) in their last four meetings against the Komets.
Winning four in a row, Kalamazoo is looking to end the regular season as the hottest team in the UHL. The K-Wings will start the postseason this Wednesday, April 11th at Wings Stadium against the Flint Generals. Kalamazoo enters tonight one point behind Rockford for third place overall in the league.
Capturing the Western Conference crown last night, Fort Wayne now has its sights set on hoisting the Tarry Cup. A Komets win tonight would make Fort Wayne the UHL's regular season champions and secure home ice throughout the playoffs. Fort Wayne can also win the Tarry Cup with a Muskegon loss against Quad City.

Back to Back
Playing back-to-back games as not hurt the K-Wings this year. Kalamazoo is 23-12-2 in games played on consecutive days and 7-6-0 in the third game in three nights.
Five Alive
Forward Lucas Drake returned to lineup last night and scored a goal during the K-Wings 4-3 shootout win versus Bloomington. Drake, who missed Kalamazoo's previous five games, continued where he left off extending his point streak to five-games.
Bootland Moves Into First
With his shorthanded goal last night, forward Nick Bootland tied Jim Brown (2001-03) for the K-Wings' franchise all-time record for shorthanded goals in a career with eight. Bootland, who has five shorthanders this season, is tied with Kory Karlander for the team lead and both players are one shorthander away from tying Mike Manley single-season record of six set last year.
Four Straight
Kalamazoo is heating up at the right time. The K-Wings, who have won nine of their last ten games, are riding both a four-game overall and home winning streaks.
