Arch-rivals To Open Up The Colonial Cup Playoffs On Friday the 13th

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, in conjunction with the Quad City Mallards and United Hockey League, announced the IceHogs-Mallards First Round Colonial Cup Playoff schedule. The series is the second ever in the postseason between the arch-rivals and first since the 2003 Colonial Cup Playoffs.

For the second consecutive season the IceHogs will hold the home-ice advantage for the opening round. Games One, Two, and Five and Seven if necessary, will be played at the Rockford MetroCentre. Game One is set for Friday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. followed by Game Two on Sunday, April 15 at 5:05 p.m.

The Mallards will host Games Three (Wednesday, April 18) and Four (Friday, April 20) and if necessary, Game Six (Monday, April 23). All game times at the MARK of the Quad Cities are scheduled for 7 p.m.

The following is a complete schedule of the IceHogs-Mallards first round match-up.

Next Home Game: Saturday, April 7 vs. Chicago Hounds. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The 2006-07 regular season comes to a close as the Hogs wrap up against Chicago. The first 1,000 fans to the game will pick up a 2006-07 IceHogs Team Photo courtesy of Prairie Rose Apartments, FOX39, Burpee Museum and Johnson Press.
