For the thirteenth time this season, the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Port Huron Flags. Kalamazoo leads the season series against Port Huron with a record of 9-2-1. Kalamazoo has a five-game winning streak over Port Huron, outscoring the Flags 25-3 during the current stretch.
Today is the third leg of a four-game road swing for the K-Wings. So far during the trip, the K-Wings have a record of 1-1-0. Over the next two games, Kalamazoo will get a chance to battle two possible first round opponents in Port Huron and Flint.
While the Flags have clinched a postseason birth, they are not playing their best hockey of the season. Port Huron is currently on a four-game winless streak. The Flags, who are currently in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, trail the Flint Generals by seven points for the third seed in the east.

Forward Kory Karlander is closing in on a franchise record. Karlander, who has 43 goals, needs just one more to break the tie he currently has with Jim Duhart (1999-00) for the K-Wings' all-time UHL franchise record for goals in a season.
