After playing the first-two games of the Finals at Wings Stadium, the Kalamazoo Wings and the Danbury Trashers head to the Danbury Ice Arena for the next three games of the series. With the Trashers 4-2 victory on Saturday, the series heads to Danbury tied at one game apiece.

For the first-time in the playoffs the K-Wings enter a game after suffering a loss. In the regular season, Kalamazoo had a record of 15-5-3 in games following a loss. While the K-Wings nine-game winning streak ended on Saturday, Kalamazoo is looking to extend their four-game postseason road winning streak.

With their victory on Saturday, Danbury has turned the tables on the K-Wings home-ice advantage. With the 2-3-2 format, the Trashers will have the opportunity to play the next three games on home ice. So far in the playoffs the Trashers are 4-3 at the Danbury Ice Arena.

Tying History

Both Nick Bootland and Tyler Willis have rewritten K-Wings UHL history. With his goal in Game Two, Bootland has tied Jim Duhart for most goals (10) in a K-Wings UHL Playoff Career. On that same goal, Willis also tied Duhart for most assists (10) in a K-Wings UHL Playoff Career.

Streak Ends at Nine

The K-Wings nine-game playoff winning streak concluded Saturday night at Wings Stadium. The loss, which was Kalamazoo's first of the playoffs, ended the K-Wings longest winning streak of the season (regular season or playoff).

Getting Their Shots In

The K-Wings shot the puck on net 49 times in Game Two of the Finals. The 49 shots sets a K-Wings UHL Franchise Playoff Record for most shots on goal in a game, breaking the record of 48 shots which occurred on 2 separate occasions.

Heading Into the Third

So far in the playoffs, when the K-Wings have the lead heading into the third period they have won the game. Kalamazoo is 9-0 in the playoffs when they lead heading into the final period of regulation.
