For the second straight year, the K-Wings will welcome the students from the Kalamazoo Public Schools for KPS Day. This morning is a huge game for the K-Wings, who start the day just four points behind the Muskegon Fury for the top spot in the Central Division.
Today's game starts a six-game home stand for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo is 17-10-4 at Wings Stadium this season. Three of the K-Wings victories this year have come to the hands of the Flint Generals. Overall, the K-Wings are 4-1-0 against the Generals this season.
Flint starts the day just two points ahead of the Richmond RiverDogs for the final playoff spot in the UHL. Besides try to fend of the RiverDogs, the Generals are just five points ahead of Port Huron for third place in the Central Division.

Back To School
The K-Wings will participate in their second of three school games tomorrow during the 2nd Annual KPS Game presented by Culvers and Perry Harley Davidson against the Flint Generals. Tomorrow's game will start at 10:30 a.m. The game can be heard on WLKM (95.9 FM) and WKLZ (1470 AM) starting at 10:15 a.m. with the Digital Highway Pre-Game Show. The K-Wings third school day will be a road contest on March 23rd at Port Huron.
Home Sweet Home
The Kalamazoo Wings will start a six-game home stand tomorrow against the Flint Generals. The home stand will conclude on March 17th with the 24th Annual World Famous Green Ice Game presented by Fifth-Third Bank, WOTV, and WRKR.
On A Roll
Three K-Wings players will start the week on extended point streaks. Mike Manley has recorded a point in each of his last five games. Right behind of him with a four-game point streak is Andrew Luciuk. Tim Krueckl is on a three-game goal and assist streak. The five-game streak is the longest current streak by K-Wings player; the longest overall point streak is seven-games held by Yannick Carpentier.
The Obscure Stat of the Week
The K-Wings are 9-4-1 on Wednesday's this season. Lifetime, the K-Wings are 30-24-9 on games played on Wednesday's.
