Kalamazoo Wings News Release

For the second time this week, the Kalamazoo Wings will host the Flint Generals at Wings Stadium. After defeating the Generals 3-1 on Wednesday, the K-Wings are looking to sweep both games against the Generals this week. On the season, Kalamazoo are 2-1-0 against Flint this season, with both of their victories occurring at Wings Stadium.

The K-Wings will try to increase their hold on second place in the Central Division; coming into tonight, Kalamazoo is ten points ahead of the Flint Generals. The K-Wings are also looking to make up some ground on the Muskegon Fury, who lead the K-Wings by just five points for the top spot in the division. Yannick Carpentier, who leads the K-Wings with 43 points, will try to extend his four-game point streak, which is the longest current point streak on the K-Wings roster.

The Flint Generals come to Wings Stadium hoping to snap a two-game winless streak. While the Generals have many weapons to their disposal; the top gun in Flint's army could be Mike Kinnie. Kinnie is tied with Jim Duhart for the team lead in goals scored with 26. Besides being tied for the team lead in goal, Kinnie leads all UHL rookies in both points (48) and goals.
