Game Preview

A rivalry will get renewed tonight, as the K-Wings head up north to Muskegon to play the Fury. Tonight is game six of nine between the teams this season; Kalamazoo enters the L.C. Walker Arena looking for their first win against Muskegon.

Kalamazoo started their abbreviated two game road swing with 2-1 shootout victory last night at Motor City. Tonight's game is a big one for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo starts the night in third place in the Central Division and are just seven points behind the Flint Generals for first place and six points behind Muskegon for second. The K-Wings also have a game in hand over both the Generals and the Fury.

The Fury are hoping to end the evening atop the Central Division. Muskegon is just one point behind the Generals, who have the night off, for first place in the division. Muskegon is an impressive 12-3-0 against their own division, which includes a remarkable 8-0-0 record at the L.C. Walker Arena.

On the Rebound

So far this season, the K-Wings have faired well following a loss. With their victory last night over Motor City, the K-Wings are 10-4-2 in games following a regulation or shootout loss.

Triumphant Return

The victory over the Mechanics also featured the return of Chad Allan to the lineup. The veteran defenseman had miss three weeks of action due to an injury.

Working Overtime The K-Wings used a UHL franchise high 11 shooters in last night's shootout win. Shaun Fisher led the K-Wings in the extra session by scoring two of the three shootout goals for Kalamazoo, including the game-winner.

Struch There It Is

Over the past 10 games, forward David Struch has averaged just under a point a game. In his last 10 game played, Struch has registered three goals and has added six assists.
