Kalamazoo Wings News Release

The K-Wings will be trying to prove that 13 is a lucky number as they host the Rockford IceHogs at Wing Stadium. Kalamazoo enters the game on franchise record 13 game home-unbeaten streak. Tonight marks the second consecutive meeting between the division rivals, and the third of four meetings in 14 day span. The teams will conclude their four game escapade this Saturday in Rockford.

For the second straight game, the K-Wings will be out the services of Nick Bootland, who was placed on the team's 7-Day Injured Reserve list on Sunday. Kalamazoo is heating up at the right time, as the K-Wings are 6-1-0 in their last seven games.

Rockford is looking to snap a four game overall losing streak and a two game losing streak against Kalamazoo. The road hasn't been kind for the IceHogs, who are 0-3-0 during their four game road swing. Besides dealing with their road woes, the IceHogs are also dealing with a flu like illness that will keep four players including leading scorer Donnie Margettie out of tonight's game.
