
Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings vs Evansville IceMen

Playing their first of just three home games in the month of February, the Kalamazoo Wings will host the Evansville IceMen at Wings Stadium. On the season, the K-Wings are 4-2-1-0 versus the IceMen, which includes a record of 3-0-0-0 at Wings Stadium.
This evening will be the K-Wings first contest since last Friday's decisive 5-1 victory on the road last night against the Fort Wayne Komets. Kalamazoo will be looking to get back to their winning ways on Vanrick Drive, as the K-Wings have dropped three of their last four games at Wings Stadium.
In fifth place in the North Division, the IceMen trail the K-Wings by eight points for fourth place. Tonight is the first game of a three-game road swing for Evansville, who is 5-11-1-3 this season in games away from the Ford Center.

Forward John Armstrong enters tonight on a five-game point and assist streak. The five-game point streak is one game shy of a tying the K-Wings season-high, while the five-game assist streak ties for a K-Wings season-high.
My Sirota Forward Nick Sirota has recorded goals in two straight home games for the K-Wings. Sirota, who has scored 16 goals this season, earned nine of them in the month of January.
Stopping the Puck
Joel Martin has been a brick wall for the K-Wings. Martin, who leads the ECHL with 1,219 saves, has recorded 161 saves in his last four home games, an average of 40.25 a game.
Scoring in the Clutch
Forward Aaron Clarke recorded the game-winning goal for the K-Wings in last night's victory over the Fort Wayne Komets. Four of Clarke's 15 goals this season have been game-winners, which leads the K-Wings in that category.
