ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, announced that their AHL affiliate, Manchester Monarchs, have recalled goaltender Jean-Francois Berube for the second time this season.

Berube, 21, received his first call-up to the Monarchs on January 7 and returned to the Reign after 11 days after appearing in one game as their backup goalie. The Repentigny, Quebec native has had 22 starts with the Reign this season and is currently third in the league with a 2.17 goals-against average. With 476 saves Berube has recorded a 0.910 save percentage and a 15-4-2 record including a 7-0 shutout win he earned over San Francisco.

Last season Berube played his rookie season with the Reign and earned his highest-ever save percentage of 0.907 and a personal record of four shutouts. He averaged just 2.87 goals-against through 37 starts.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound goalie was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the fourth round, 95th overall, of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Troy Redmann, a 26-year-old Brea, Calif. native, was picked up on Wednesday as the Reign's emergency backup goaltender pending the return of Berube.
