Beginning their 2013 portion of their schedules, the Kalamazoo Wings and Toledo Walleye will tangle for the seventh out 13 times this season. So far, the K-Wings lead the season series over the Walleye with a record of 3-2-1-0, which includes a record of 2-1-0-0 at Wings Stadium.
Closing out 2012 with two straight wins, the K-Wings start the calendar year playing the middle-leg of a three-game home stand. With 29 points, Kalamazoo is in fourth place in the North Division with a record of 9-7-0-0 at Wings Stadium.
Ending a brief two-game home stand, Toledo starts 2013 with a chance to move into first place in the North Division. Unbeaten in regulation in their last two games (1-0-0-1), the Walleye are enter the night with 38 points, two points behind the division leaders, the Cincinnati Cyclones.

With his goal on New Year's Eve, forward Alexandre Mallet tied a K-Wings' season-high for consecutive games with a goal with two. The streak marks the 10th time this season a member of the K-Wings has lit the lamp in back-to-back games.
Producing from the Blue Line
Defenseman Elgin Reid has sparked the K-Wings offense. Reid, who has 16 points (5 goals, 11 assists) on the season, has earned points in four out of Kalamazoo's last five games (1 goal, 3 assists).
Beat the Clock The K-Wings have recorded back-to-back goals in under a minute in back-to-back games. Kalamazoo scored 55 seconds apart against the Toledo Walleye on December 29th and duplicated the feat by scoring 41 seconds apart on December 31st versus the Cincinnati Cyclones.
