
Cougars Aim for Sixth Straight Win

The Prince George Cougars home-stand continues tonight as they host the Wenatchee Wild to wrap up the weekend double-header Puck drop is slated for 6:00 pm at the CN Centre.
The Cougars are coming off a 6-4 come-from-behind win over the Wild last night at the CN Centre. Zac Funk led the way for PG, owning five points (2-3-5) in the win, and Terik Parascak continued his scoring surge, adding a pair of tallies in the victory. Josh Ravensbergen earned his second win of the season in between the pipes, making 20 saves. "We had to grind it out," said GM and Head Coach Mark Lamb. "I thought we were sluggish to start, however, we created a ton of offence especially in that third period and that proved to be the difference."
The Wenatchee Wild currently sport a 1-4-1-0 record entering tonight's game against the Cougars. Connor Geekie made his season debut last night, scoring a goal and two assists in the setback against the Cougars.
Following tonight's game, the Cougars wrap up the home-stand on Wednesday, October 11th agains the Swift Current Broncos at 7:00 pm.

Terik Parascak continues to deliver for the Prince George Cougars on a nightly basis His two-goal performance now has him at a league leading 12 goals. Parascak was also named the WHL's Rookie of the Week back on Monday. Parascak continues to lead the WHL among in goals (12) and points (17).
RECORD WATCH:
Hudson Thornton is one power-play goal shy of setting the franchise record for most power-play goals among defensemen. Thornton is currently tied with Ethan Samson and alumnus Ty Wishart with 19 power-play markers. Thornton has two goals in six games to kick off the 2023-2024 season. The Winnipeg, MB is on pace to break multiple records among Cougar defenceman in franchise history including All-Time points (currently at 132, leader is Dan Hamhuis with 157), goals (currently 3rd all-time with 40, leader is Dustin Byfuglien with 47), and assists (currently 7th all-time with 92, leader is Dan Hamhuis with 123).
