
Costner Leads the Way for Flash

Bismarck, N.D. (March 28, 2011) - Brandon Costner scored a season high 33 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead the Utah Flash (28-19) to a 124-115 victory over the Dakota Wizards (18-29) Monday night at the Bismarck Civic Center.
Utah trailed 88-86 at the end of the third quarter and started the fourth with a 13-2 run and led by 11 early in the fourth. Costner scored 13 of his game high 33 in the quarter to pace the Flash in the fourth. After technical fouls were assessed to Wizards guard Javaris Crittenton and head coach Rory White, the Flash took their biggest lead of the game at 111-94 and held on down the stretch for the 124-115 victory.
Dakota led 26-24 at the end of the first quarter but Utah responded in a big way in the second outscoring the Wizards 37-24 in the quarter to lead by nine at the break. Javaris Crittenton led Dakota back in the third scoring 15 points in the quarter and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw to give Dakota an 88-86 lead at the end of three.
Tony Gaffney recorded his second straight double-double in as many nights scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Flash also got double digit scoring from Andre Ingram with 24 points, Ronald Dupree 12 and Kevin Krueger 11. Ryan Thompson added 12 points off the bench on 6-of-7 shooting and Brian Hamilton chipped in10 points off the bench as well.
The Wizards were led by Mike Anderson with 26 points and Anthony Goods with 24.
The Wizards travel to Tulsa this for back-to-back games this Friday and Saturday and return home for a rescheduled game against the Sioux Falls Skyforce next Monday night at 5:00p.m. CT at the Bismarck Civic Center.
