Corning Bulldogs Add Pro Star To Roster

Corning, NY. The ABA Corning Bulldogs have announced the signing of 6'4 combo guard Jerry Cheves. Jerry comes to the Bulldogs with considerable pro experience where he recently averaged 14.2 points per game. Prior to going pro, Jerry played NCAA Division 1 college basketball in the Southland Conference at Stephen F. Austin University. Before attending there, he had just completed one of the best junior college seasons in the nation. He finished his junior college career as the all-time leading three point field goal shooter in Finger Lakes CC history with 157 three pointers in his two year career and was a first team all-conference and second team all-region selection as a sophomore. He finished as the school's fifth all-time leading scorer.

Prior to college, Jerry was a standout high school player at Brockport High School where he was first team all-county and an All-Greater Rochester selection. He was also the McDonalds All-Greater Rochester All-Star Game MVP and averaged 17 points, six rebounds and three assists in high school.
