
Frost Heaves Remain Undefeated

Barre, Vt--The Vermont Frost Heaves fought back from an 18-point first-quarter deficit to defeat the Westchester Phantoms 102-93 and remain unbeaten.
Issa Konare led Vermont (6-0) with 29 points and 15 boards. Dwayne Lee chipped in 13 points and 7 assists, and Dokun Akingbade added 15 points and 6 boards.
Konare scored 15 of Vermont's 23 first quarter points, 9 of which came from three-pointers. The Frost Heaves trailed throughout most of the game, but at the end of the third quarter Terrance Green hit back-to-back threes to give Vermont the lead it would hold for the duration.
Jomo Belfor led Westchester with 34 points.
The Frost Heaves face the Manchester Millrats on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 4:15 p.m. They return to Barre on Thursday, Dec. 6, for a rematch with the Millrats. Tip-off is at 7:05 p.m.
