
CornBelters Open 3-Game Series Tomorrow

Normal, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, are excited for the upcoming game-day promotions. Following a three-game series at the Florence Freedoms, continued with yet another series at the Southern Illinois Miners, the Normal CornBelters will return to the Corn Crib on Saturday, July 30, for a three-game series against the Gateway Grizzlies.
Saturday, July 30, State Farm Starstruck Saturday presents Dawn Wells! Many may also refer to her as Mary Ann Summers from the hit TV show Gilligan's Island. This talented actress has had a remarkable career, not only appearing on Gilligan's Island, but also performing in nearly one hundred theatrical productions. Dawn Wells will be signing autographs and throwing out the first pitch, which will be a sight to see! This Saturday, the CornBelters also invite the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts for the second annual campout! All Scouts will be able to enjoy watching the game in Box Seating. Post game, the Scouts will have the opportunity for a private autograph session with Corny and CornBelters players, followed by a campout on the field with snacks and a movie on the video board, as well as an optional breakfast in the morning!
On Sunday, July 31, make sure you're one of the first 1,000 fans to pass through the Corn Crib gates and you'll receive the 2011 CornBelters Baseball Card Set compliments of Disabled American Veterans! Stick around after the game every Sunday to go down on the field and get autographs from all of your favorite CornBelters players and coaches, as well as Corny!
This Sunday is also a "Martial Arts Night" where the Corn Crib will be kicking and screaming all night with karate, judo, tae kwon do and MMA clubs. Make sure to check out how you can learn a thing or two by watching live demonstrations from some of these professionals on the concourse!
Come early on Monday, August 1, for Early Bird Monday deals of half-price concessions and 50% off one merchandise item per fan! Both of these special deals are only in effect from 6:00-6:30pm. Every Monday night is Illinois Corn Growers Night, where all Illinois Corn Farmers receive 50% off their tickets by showing their Association Card. There will also be $1 corn dogs all night long, courtesy of the Illinois Corn Growers. This Monday is also "Chess Night" so area chess clubs will have chess matches set up on the concourse throughout the night, and you can challenge Chess Grandmaster Pete Karagianis to a match, as he will be playing blindfolded!

THE NIBLET: While the CornBelters are on the road, the Corn Crib is hosting its last Frontier Movie Night on Saturday, August 6! Gates will open at 6:30pm and The Rookie will begin at 7:00pm.
