
Corn Crib to Host Boys Soccer State Finals

Normal, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, the Bloomington-Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Bloomington-Normal Area Sports Commission are thrilled to announce the Corn Crib as the hosting site of the Illinois High School Association Class 1A Boys Soccer State Finals from 2011 through 2015. Following a six-game road trip to begin their second season, the CornBelters will play their first home game of the 2011 campaign at the Corn Crib on Friday, May 27 at 7pm versus the Southern Illinois Miners (CEFCU Opening Night).
The 2011 IHSA Class 1A Boys Soccer State Finals will be Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29. The Corn Crib boasts a 7,000 person seating capacity, including 11 luxury suites, 4,000 fixed seats, and room for 3,000 spectators in the outfield berms. This state-of-the-art facility is home to the Normal CornBelters Professional Baseball Team, Heartland Community College Men's and Women's Soccer, Softball and Baseball, as well as several other community events, including 5k runs/walks, corporate banquets and concerts. Throughout the Bloomington-Normal area, soccer fans will enjoy the accessibility of local hotels, dining establishments, entertainment attractions and the Corn Crib's convenient location.

The tournament will positively impact the local hospitality community and will provide our residents with another opportunity to watch an outstanding athletic event.
