(SUGAR LAND, Texas) - It took 10 innings for a run to be scored between the Sugar Land Space Cowboys and Reno Aces on Saturday night at Constellation Field.
Corey Julks delivered that run, sending a single up the middle to score Jose Alvarez and give the Space Cowboys a 1-0 walk-off victory.
Julks' walk-off single was the fifth walk-off win for the Space Cowboys this year.
JP France tossed a season-high seven scoreless innings, allowing just one hit to go with seven strikeouts and only one walk. France is tied for first in the Pacific Coast League with 97 strikeouts and is sixth with a 4.25 ERA and 1.29 WHIP.
Parker Mushinski made the fifth appearance of his MLB Rehab Assignment on Saturday, striking out three through two scoreless innings. Nick Hernandez provided a scoreless 10th to set up the Julks walk-off single.
The Space Cowboys and Aces finish out their six-game set at 6:05 p.m. on Sunday at Constellation Field. Jimmy Endersby is set to take the mound for the Space Cowboys, matching up against Aces righty Dan Straily for the second time of the series.
The Space Cowboys will celebrate Holiday Lights in July in the series finale, with 2,000 fans getting Space Cowboys-themed holiday socks as they enter the gates, presented by Houston Methodist.
