
Copper's 26 Points Propels Second-Half Sky Rally as Chicago Defeats Seattle, 73-69

Chicago Sky forward Kahleah Copper, just mere hours from her birthday, scored a game-high 26 points en route to the Sky's comeback victory over the Seattle Storm. Across 33 minutes of action, the Rutgers product finished 10 of 16 from the field and 2 of 5 from beyond the three-point line.
The Sky saw three players (Copper, center Stefanie Dolson and center Azurá Stevens) score at least 10 points tonight. Specifically, these three players also combined for 67% of Chicago's total points scored (73).
After dropping two consecutive games (Aug. 17 and Aug. 21) and with tonight's victory, the Sky are amidst a new, two-game winning streak as it continues its playoff push during the second half of the 2021 regular season.
After trailing for a large part of the night, the Sky took its first lead of the second half with a three-point shot from guard Allie Quigley with just under three minutes remaining.
