Consecutive-Balks Give Biscuits Win in Ten Innings

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Jackson Generals' (60-75/29-37) Moises Hernandez balked on two-consecutive pitches in the tenth inning, which scored pinch runner Willie Argo as the Biscuits (61-69/26-34) won 1-0 at Riverwalk Stadium Thursday night.

Alejandro Segovia doubled with two outs in a scoreless tenth inning. Argo entered the game as a pinch runner. Hernandez (0-8) then balked two straight pitches and advanced Argo home for the victory.

Bryce Stowell (4-2) pitched two innings, while striking out one for the win.

Michael Colla pitched seven innings and gave up two hits, walked two, and struck out four batters in a no-decision for the Biscuits.

Tyler Pike had a no-hitter through five innings until Jake Hager singled in the sixth. Taylor Motter singled after Hager, but a double-play ended the inning and kept the Biscuits off the board. Pike pitched six innings and gave up two hits, walked three, and struck out five in the no-decision.

Game two of the series will be Friday night starting at 7:05 pm CST. The pitching matchup will include RH Dylan Floro and LH Cam Hobson on the mound.
